We are currently working on DFE’s freight conveyor systems for both sites and have
been commissioned to perform the following:
Electrical design, including all drawings, documentation
Controls engineering and programming
Installation and commissioning of the systems
Projects are progressing well with the Perth facility complete and Adelaide in the
final stages of commissioning.
More Dematic Projects…
Due to the success of the Symbion Pharmacy Services installation Dematic have recently
awarded us two major projects;
Kmart Distribution centre – encompassing a 28 lane cross belt sorter integrated with
a complete conveyor distribution system.
Big W –A flag ship customer provided with an Australian first solution when it comes
to leading technology & innovation. The introduction of Multi Shuttles and Goods
to Person pick and put stations has previously been installed in only a couple of
select locations around the world. We have taken great pride in the fact that we
were awarded the project due to the intricacy and complex nature of the install as
well as our proven ability to deliver.
New Panel Shop
Our new panel building facility is now in full swing, we have had a number of new
motor control panels constructed and assembled with upmost success. Our new facility
now focuses on work flows, ergonomics and safety therefore speeding up our production
process. From design and drafting thru to wiring and completion the last few weeks
have been streamlined with all panels delivered ahead of time. See our Panel Building

RFID for Baggage Handling Systems
Australec has been installing RFID systems in all major Qantas ports across Australia.
We have successfully installed all required power and data to drive the Radio Frequency
ID systems as well as designing and installing the containment infrastructure. Finally
coming to an end this project has now given the ability for Qantas to efficiently
distribute luggage to correct transportation containers with reduced OH&S issues
and increased performance.
Qantas Automatic Bag Drop Development – On behalf of ICM Airport Technics
We are currently installing Automatic Bag Drop’s in ICM’s head office which will
be used for training and development purposes by ICM and Qantas staff. These ABD’s
will play an integral part in future developments and upgrades on the currently rolled
